–“Patuxent Voices, founded by Cynthia
Gonzalez, evolved around women who love to sing unaccompanied, or “a
cappella” music. The current group numbers 12 and hale from Calvert and St.
Mary’s Counties, singing under the direction of Laurel Deitz.
Patuxent Voices performs several annual holiday and spring
concerts, as well as appearing at local festivals and events. These talented
singers offer an eclectic mix of song - from ancient music to current hits,
from sacred to silly - always sung a cappella.”
